Community Memorial is undergoing an exciting, transformational project –the renovation and expansion of over half the organization, promoting quality patient care and safety, improving efficiencies and cost savings, and increasing access to care across the Community Memorial system.

The current, aging facility faces challenges every day surrounding patient navigation and throughput, as the healthcare world is shifting to more outpatient-focused.

Updating and expanding our Emergency Department will allow for increased patient capacity and treatment space for a department that already sees over 10,000 visits a year. A separate entrance and registration space for ER patients will ensure patient safety. Negative-pressure treatment space will be increased – a critical need in treating COVID positive patients.

The expansion of the Radiology Department will include new, state-of-art equipment and a women’s imaging suite, all conveniently relocated next to the ER, for emergent care needs.

The new inpatient wing will relocate to the rear of the building, offering all-private rooms in a modern and comfortable setting, allowing a more comfortable atmosphere for patient recovery.

Rehabilitation treatment space for physical and occupational therapy will be expanded, heightening the patient experience for both inpatient and outpatient care.

With so many important changes to our organization for our patients and staff, YOU can be a part of this remarkable project. This $25.4m project is set to be completed in 2022, right as we celebrate our 70th anniversary. This exciting project will change how we look, but more importantly, the patient-care benefits that our community will experience INSIDE our new building will be everlasting. YOU can be a part of our solution to improve patient care in our rural region.
