The Executive Director manages the relationships with the surrounding communities, cultivates positive relationships with local resident and business. Manages the Hospital’s comprehensive fundraising programs, leads communications and branding initiative.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Ø Develops strategy and programs designed to represent the organization in the community.
Ø Develops and expands relationships with community leaders and media representatives.
Ø Creating communication campaigns, monitoring public opinions, and the organization’s branding.
Ø Strong speaking, writing and organizational abilities
Ø Create and maintain relationships with donors and handle fundraising efforts including annual, capital campaigns, and major gifts
Ø Serves as community spokesperson to media and local communities
Ø Manage budgets to include coordination and oversight of marketing materials, web site activity and promotional efforts
Ø Conduct market research and monitor trends including competitor analysis.
Ø Collaborate with the Foundation Board of Directors, CEO and leadership for development purposes & events, including building relationships and strategizing on annual & major gift solicitations.
Ø Prepare and submit grant applications when possible to foundations and corporations in alignment with strategic priorities and/or annual or campaign requests.
Ø Bachelor’s Degree in Communication, Marketing or related field
Ø 3+ year’s experience in fundraising/fund development and public relations
Ø Strong oral, written and interpersonal skills
Ø Computer skills to include Microsoft Office, Microsoft Publisher, and other windows based software; experience with fundraising-specific software preferred.
