Hammonds is a board-eligible medical doctor. Dr. Hammonds earned his medical degree from the American University of Antigua College of Medicine and is a graduate of Excelsior University (formerly Regents college) in Albany, NY. He completed his residency and training at Interfaith Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY.

Hammonds resides locally with his wife. He has three adult children, two daughters and a son.  He enjoys spending time with his family and friends doing outdoor activities, especially anything near water.
