Learn More About Dr. Theresa Wendel
Dr. Wendel earned her medical degree from SUNY Buffalo School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences and a Master of Public Health from the University of Illinois Chicago. She completed her general surgery residency through Rush University and Stroger Hospital of Cook County, followed by a colorectal surgery fellowship at Rhode Island Hospital through Brown University.
Board certified by both the American Board of Surgery and the American Board of Colon and Rectal Surgery, Dr. Wendel believes that patients should always come first. She values taking the time to listen, establish trust, and develop meaningful doctor-patient relationships.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Wendel enjoys spending time with her family, golfing, skiing, running, and caring for her pets.
